Family and Consumer Science Educators work with individuals and families on their money management and debt programs; family economics; lifestyle goals; investment; retirement and estate planning issues. Our Family and Consumer Science Educators focus on providing information through seminars, presentations and individual counseling, so that Baltimore County residents, employees and their families can gain knowledge and skills about the financial management challenges they face today.

Financial literacy program topics include:

The Family Financial Counseling program involves training volunteers and agency personnel to additionally assist individuals and families in developing useful financial management skills. This program is targeted to financially stressed families, usually with debt issues. Volunteer training consists of six-3 hour sessions and annual updates.
